Geneva Airport
The Geneva airport is called Geneva Cointrin International Airport. It is located 3 miles north of Geneva. There are public buses heading towards the city center within a span of minutes from the arrival and departure terminals. You can avail the free hotel shuttle meant for transporting passengers to the main hotels.
There is a train service that heads towards the Cornavin RR Station situated in the city centre every 10 minutes from where you can avail connecting flights to Europe. You can also hail a taxi from the arrival terminal and costs you around SFr 30 to 35 to reach you to the heart of Geneva.
Car Rental
You can rent readily available cars from any company such as the Alamo, Budget, Avis, National, Europcar and Hertz. If you intend traveling to France then you should hire cars on the side that has the French border.
Facilities provided at the Airport
You can find lockers for your luggage at the arrival points and the Train Station Mall. There is a Skycom Airport Business Center and a Business Corner that provides numerous business facilities.
The other facilities provided are banks, ATMs, exchange bureaus, restaurants, bars, and a reservation desk for hotels, information for the tourists, post-office and duty free shops. There are special facilities provided to the disabled and those who require special facilities need to inform their airline beforehand.
Car Parking
There are provisions for short-term and long-term parking along with valet parking. You can use your American Express or a Visa card or a Eurocard for your parking payment.
There is no tax imposed for departures.
