It was settled by the Alamanni in the year 600 or so. Thus it has a rich past, a fact that is reflected in the number of excavations where numerous graves and burial objects were discovered. This makes the place a haven for historians and archeologists worldwide who visit the spot often hoping for some new historic finds.
