Swiss Religion

There is freedom of religion and conscience in Switzerland. The two principal religious de-
nominations are the Roman Catholic (approx. 40% of the population) and the Protestant
Reformed Church (approx. 36% of the population). Over 10% state that they do not have a
a religious persuasion, about 4% (mainly immigrants) declare their faith in Islam.
