Location
The Alps, great rock faces and super high water falls - make the place one of the must visit places on the tourist map of Switzerland. The valley, in which the small places situated in, is already a protected and a nature conservation place of the small landlocked country. A place which is forested for about 18% and where buildings occupy only a meager 1.2%, it has to be a great place to visit and live in.

Trummelbach falls is the place that is picturesque as much as it is thronged by adventure - wanting people. The sight of 10 waterfalls in the region is one of the best sights that you'd have ever witness in your life. Schilthorn is the famous place that one part of the James Bond Franchise was shot here and gives a panoramic view of 20 glaciers and 40 peaks!
The highest mountain peak of the region - Kleine Scheidegg (Jungfrau and Monch) - with its north face is the most clearly visible.
The Depths of the Lauterbrunnen valley have the UNESCO world heritage site of the Swiss railways is not something that you would want to miss for anything!
Connectivity and Transportation
The most famous line is the cable car which connects the region to Murren. Wengernalpbahn is the train that connects the place to Grindelwald after making an important stop at Kleine Scheidegg. The Bernese Oberland Railways system has the place connected to the major cities and is just a 20 minute ride away from there.
Where to Stay?
Because it is predominantly a tourist place, there are many budget hotels available especially near the town square area. However with a shoestring budget, you can further go inside the valley where you can even stay in temporary setup camps and tents!
